The Midi Square family includes universal cutters for slotting, contouring and face milling operations in ordinary steel (up to about 300HB), easier stainless steels and cast iron.
A member of the square shoulder family, these cutters incorporate square inserts (SONX 1205) that provide four usable edges to improve cost performance. A special design on the square insert enables a 90-degree setting angle without weakening the side cutting edge.
Midi Square cutters have fixed pockets and include normal and close pitch versions. The family covers a diameter range of 50-160mm (1.97" to 6.3"). The insert size is 12mm (.47").
